At one point she had angry, red yeast rashes in her diaper area, under her chin, in both armpits, and behind both ears. I took her to the doctor time and again and tried every anti-fungal and antibacterial cream they recommended. While some worked for a short time, none of them delivered lasting results. I was going crazy trying to solve this problem. I read that talc powder works really well and it does. Of course, even the product label talks about the inhalation risk to babies (not to mention the risk of ovarian cancer). I tried a cornstarch powder thinking I would get the benefit of powder without the risk of talc. Turns out cornstarch is a food source to yeast. Who knew? When I found this powder it was as a last resort. I loved that it was talc-free but still offered anti-fungal protection. After using this powder regularly my baby no longer has yeast rash. I do think people should know that it does contain tea tree oil which is a phytoestrogen, so if you are buying it to avoid phthalates and synthetic fragrances, you will be getting this instead. It has a nice drying effect, and is silky to the touch.
